American Seagulls

It's fair to say that Jonny H and DDL's performance this season has been middling. Late arrivals, questionable craic, nudity etc.

All that said, they do mostly turn up for #BirdersTwitter and occasionally drop witty or informative comments. I also love them both - like sisters.

So, after some quiet contemplation I've decided to reward them with a seagull photo essay the likes of which the world has never seen. Ever.

Seagulls, why? I hear you scream as you throw your phone at your sofa/ child/ partner. I'll tell you why. Because these bin-divers can turn up ANYWHERE. They are awful. I mean seriously, remember Rossi in Essex? I do - he was my first and only Ring-billed in the UK:

Seagulls are also entertaining, they have sex with men in Sunderland, get high AF in Wrexham and cover themselves in curry in Buckinghamshire.

So, the point is - no matter how lowly, inland or generally depraved your patch you could encounter a notable Yank seagull. In fact the more depraved - the better! Rubbish tips, banks of the Thames, municipal reservoirs - anywhere there is a congregation of gulls - you're in with a fighting chance.
