In a way Birder’s Twitter is the new Spring/ Autumn watch. Very BBC. The BBC might have requested Jonny R is person. DDL is the new Michaela Strachan, Jonny H is like Chris Packhan and Jonny R is touted as the next Attenborough.
The White Hart is the beating heart of Jonny R’s patch.
We do our unofficial Migfest preview - accidentally - a week early. Migfest is not next weekend.
Jonny H is a part of Migfest. Judging the Martin Garner young birder of the year and leading a sea watch and morning walk.
DDL’s much anticipated White-cheeked Tern I.D. masterclass will be posted soon.
DDL led a walk round Vicky Park this morning which included; Whitethroat, Willow Warbler, Cormorants and a total of 40 species.
Jonny H and DDL are looking forward to gulls returning.
Jonny H has vis-migged the last two mornings. Out of control! Siskin, Swift, Grey Wagtail and Grey Plover were all logged. The Grey Plover was the first local record since the mid 80’s!
Jonny H will be vis-migging till the end of November and absolutely loves Greylags.
DDL and Jonny H both really love feral geese and talk at length about how much they love Barnacle Geese in particular.
Whilst no-bin birding Jonny R identifies; Whinchat, Goshawk and Turtle Dove. Jonny H and DDL are suitably impressed.

Jonny R is more of a photographer nowadays.
We shout-out Bethany Clyne who takes the best photos - hands down.
DDL hit up Minsmere in the week racking up 91 species including; 3 Bitterns, juvenile Sanderling, Little Stints and Spotted Redshank.
We celebrate breeding successes for terns and seagulls in the face of bird flu.

Jonny R would walk the entirety of the Arctic Tern migratory route. If only life, employment, monies, family etc. allowed.
DDL and Jonny H wish Jonny R would relocate to Russia. Permanently.

Collard Dove are in America already. Possibly.
Congrats to friends of the show Dawn and Ian who have seen the Red-footed Booby.
There is no disgrace associated with Jonny H getting kicked off Love Island. It turns out he’s just a really good person, which is really damaging for Birder's Twitter's reputation.
South Polar Skua are easily identified by the ID features. Which we discuss.
