Listen again to Season 4 - Episode 4 here:
DDL leads the charge with the lovely Jonny H. Jonny H has done a little bit of birding and flushed 2 Jack Snipe. The big flushy, flush bastard.
DDL looks at Black-tailed Godwit and has cold ears.
The guest gives us an insight into life at Spurn, big Spurn chat c/o Rob Hunton ensues…
At no point does anyone mention the Rouzel Jonny R found from the window at the Crown.
DDL, Jonny R and Rob talk informatively about positive management along the Humber. Alarming levels of information, facts and almost entirely bird related chat. Jonny R promises to never let this happen again.
Get in touch with >> Spurn Bird Observatory << if you want to volunteer for the ‘24 Little Terns or autumn season. It would be epic!
Rob recounts finding a Pallier Harrier this Spring - which flew north beneath him atop the lighthouse. As well as the crippling, amazing, stunning, incredible views of the Cory’s Shear on the Humber. Really the best experience one could expect.
Jonny H hasn’t seen Cory’s in Yorkshire and needs it for Spurn.
FINALLY AFTER 40 MINUTES JONNY R IS MENTIONED. The founder, originator and much loved host of Birders’s Twitter. Christ! The neglect. I mean, shit man…
Thanks to Rob who asks after Jonny R some 45 minutes of the call. Thanks Rob - it means a lot. At least someone cares.
DDL is doing a walk around > > Sticky Vicky Park this coming weekend < <
There’s a podcast episode out too - for your dirty ears. Feat. Mr. Oscar Campbell of that there Middle East.
Also available on Apple Podcasts, which you already know if you are an iPhone user. Because you subscribed, didn't you. Plus left a five star review. I mean. Minimum requirements people. MINIMUM.
