Techno fail to start proceedings - even so Jonny H and DDL slide into the call like a pair of mongeeses in the night:
DDL is on-site for a potential first for Britain; Black-winged Kite. Which sadly isn’t real and was a stringy, McString pile of string.
Next week we have a serious guest. The man, myth, legend; Paul French of the BBRC!
If you have any pending descriptions post us a £5 and maybe some other high value goods and we’ll make sure they get through.
PAUL FRENCH ON BIRDERS TWITTER NEXT WEEEK!
We really have spoilt you this season; Doc Collinson, Dame Dawn Balmer and Amy Schwartz. Stunning, just stunning...
Jonny R is sensitive. Very sensitive indeed, following a patch based beer accident - which involved ingestion of at least 16 beers.
Chris Pendulbury is roughly the same age as Jonny H.
Jonny H and DDL have very sensitive derrières and are jealous of the bike-birders.
Stand outs include:
BBRC
Amy
Jayner
Fixie!
Simon Rose
Team Scotch
Tony Brown
Nick - taken in 2019
Simon Gillings - drain pipe for tripod
There's loads more sweet bike-birding rigs associated with that tweet. Have a look and with thanks to everyone who responded. I cannot post any more because my attention span ran out - twice.
Jonny H contemplates taking up bike-birding, please send advice for his ultra sensitive derrière- with any ointments or saddle recommendations.
Birders Twitter is about holding a 30 year grudge, then enacting revenge on the perpetrators or surviving family members
We discuss our best finds!
Jonny R: Parrot Crossbill, Tawny Owlets and Pacific Swift
DDL; Pallas’s Warbler, Upland Sand and Lesser Yellowlegs
Jonny H; Nightingale, Bluethroat and Blyth’s Pipit - which he hasn't mentioned before.
Jonny H is best friends with Bill Oddie and we’d have had a lot more respect for Jonny if he’d chosen Bufflehead as his top find instead. Oh well.
Jonny R realises he should show a bit more respect to the people he’s lucky to meet and chat too.
Friend of the show Steve Waite has patched off:
Next week - we go BIG!
