Pretending to bird watch and / or getting out in the field is the key to good bird watching
That is just the sort of insight you can expect from the Birders Twitter team and you are most welcome.
Jonny H has clocked 9 mile locally and ticked off Little Owl for the year. As well as Yellow-legged Gull, Willow Tit, Jack Snipe and Kingfisher.
We lament the demise of Willow Tit and surmise that Willows are out-competed by the more rigorous tit species?
Merlin are aces and we learn that some Merlin in the USA are urban breeding!
DDL describes Jonny R’s recent UAE visit as ‘mostly enjoyable’! Then suppresses Cream-coloured Courser, even though Jonny R would’ve loved to see them. With the one hand he giveth and the other he taketh away.
Jonny R gets ripped for his Sand Sandgrouse faux pas, for the 2nd week in a row.
Jonny R can confirm that Wamm Farm is actually real and not a made up place name by DDL, who knew!
Jonny R concedes that Sooty Gulls are really cool seagulls and will only go birding in a golf buggy from now on...
