We're back in the game! Still bringing you the very best of birding, from the very best birders - you!

Jonny H is a bit tudey and is relegated to the naughty step for some quiet contemplation. DDL trumps the 2 Jonny’s New Years Day efforts which is becoming habit forming and is basically uncouth. DDL also reports on finding a probable Transbaikalian White Wagtail at Maha Forest, UAE. Which is pretty impressive!

We discuss the memoirs of the Andrew Tate of twitching and resolve not to purchase a copy. We collectively salivate over Black-winged Kite and admit that I'll probably find one in Suffolk and Jonny H will have to twitch it. Jonny H realises I might have imbibed alcohol and my dry January start date is moved on a day…

We vow to take up Paul Watts aka @paulwatts1979 ’s scarce challenge in ’23:

I cannot remember where and when I was looking at a wicked pap of a Gyr Falcon, turns out it was from an historic Patchwork Chalnege post. Who knew! Actually, James Spencer aka @Ornid did:

Because we are actually pretty important now, we offer the listener the chance to win a pair of Zeiss Terra Ed binoculars - simply by making a blind auction bid to our Tern the Tide fundraiser. You have until the 22nd January to bid then we’ll announce the winner! Al the details you need are in > THIS BLOG POST <

Zeiss are currently the most conscientious optics company we can think of and probably also the best. Respect.

Then Jake dials in the blow the entire rest of the country out the park - with a 130 days total! Shoutout to @Jake_Gearty @DJLbirding and Liam.

We also shoutout rare finder @jonathanfarooqi who cleaned up on Islay!

May you all thermal image your Ring-necked Parakeets and we go again next week…
