With news yesterday that the female Ruddy Shelduck is still around locally - it got me thinking of this Christmas cracker - found on 22nd December 2018.


I've found Ruddy Shelduck in West Suffolk since January 2014 - albeit with gaps in sightings - sometimes for years. Given the abundance of Egyptian Geese, it is inevitable that they would produce beautiful offspring. Such as these...
