Maximum nostalgia during this evening's Birders Twitter. Reminiscing about both BirdForum and the time I tried to encourage other Suffolk birders to create a fish mountain to attract an Ivory Gull into the Suffolk coast line.

It seems I was inspired by bigger birders like the late great Martin Garner and Adam Hutt up on the Humber as described here; the unprecedented influx of ivory-gulls.

Bearing in mind I was a very youthful 30 year old at the time, I basically thought that if we made a bigger mountain of fish on the Suffolk coast we would outdo our Yorkshire brethren and attract even more Ivory gulls.

My loyal friend Mal entertained the idea of Fish Mountain and came with me to execute the plan...

Listen to the last ten minutes of (Season 1) episode 19 to see if fish mountain was successful or not...
