Ring Recovery - Oystercatcher

Oystercatcher - Hartlepool Headland - 24th December 2023

A far, far, far more responsive ringing recovery than the recent Stonechat record. This one from an Oystercatcher I reported on Christmas Eve:

• Ringing Scheme: London Ring Number: FH48928 Species of bird: Oystercatcher (Haematopus ostralegus);

• This bird was ringed by Tees Ringing Group as age at least 2 years, sex unknown on 16-May-2015 15:10:00 at Seal Sands,Teesmouth, Stockton-on-Tees, UK;

• It was found on 24-Dec-2023 time unknown at The Headland, Hartlepool, Hartlepool, UK

• Finding condition: Sight record by non-ringer

• Finding circumstances: Metal Ring Read In Field

• Extra Information: Part read submitted as 8928 with photos.

• It was found 3144 days after it was ringed, 6 km from the ringing site, direction N.
