Buff-breasted Sandpiper - St Agnes - 04th October
We commenced proceedings with a modest sea-watch which yielded 30 large shearwaters, three of which were identifiable Cory's. We also had two closer Sooty Shears. There was the customary passage of Gannets of various ages too.
Rob then found a danger pasty aka Portuguese Manowar. I made lucrative offers of up to £4 for him to lick it. He didn't.

The Buff-breasted Sand remains an absolute delight when doing the rounds of the island. It favours Wingletang and looks awesome at all times of the day:

We got better views of Short-toed Lark, in its favoured field, the sun definitely made it better to view. But it's still a losesome, sad, dreary, plump sparrow-like dollop of regret. Still, nice to have one on the island:
