Song Thrush - St Agnes - 04th October
Had a quintessentially* Agnes day. Started by getting stared down by the above Song Thrush. It was so intense.
*I'll explain what quintessential means on this weeks Birder's Twitter

Buff-breasted Sandpiper - St Agnes - 04th October
The Buff-breast continues to be an absolute delight. During a very chilled island birding walk with Scott aka @stmarys_patch we sat down and had it absolutely flaunt itself. Walking just a few feet away. In even better news, the Short-toed Lark wasn't seen all day, which is a relief for all concerned. It really was an avian blight on the landscape.

Nick and Rob specifically requested I photograph the Mallard and Coot on the Big Pool. I really don't know what they do with all these wildfowl pictures:

The Scilly Speckled Wood, it's like a Speckled Wood - except better:

The Red-eyed Vireo seen well but briefly but well the other day absolutely gave itself up late afternoon. What. A. Bird.

Finally, it gives me no pleasure to report this. I crested a hill on Horse Point and I was disgusted to find Rob and Nick looking at green shit:

They don't even seem to be ashamed?

No apparent shame whatsoever?

A green shit

So green shit
